Blue Labelle Moroccan Spa Rhassoul Lava Clay Mask Review
Around this time last year, I first discovered Blue Labelle, a 100% vegan beauty brand based in the U.K. They make some of the most luxurious and exquisite all-natural skincare goodies evah. Seriously, it wasn’t until I tried their Petitgrain & Tamanu Cleansing Oil cleansing oil [somewhat reluctantly because oil cleansing sounded so counter-intuitive] that I became HOOKED on the OCM (Oil Cleansing Method). Anyhoo, when Pascale, Blue Labelle founder, reached out to me to see if I’d be interested in trying her new Moroccan Spa clay mask, I say yes with zero hesitation.
Blue Labelle’s Moroccan Spa Rhassoul Lava Clay Mask comes in powder form. You activate with water or hydrosol (floral water) and you can use it in a few different ways: as a face mask, hair wash, body wash, or scrub. I’ve only tried this out as a face mask (and I actually mixed it with jojoba oil), and it was such a lovely treat. As with most clay masks, I could almost feel the gunk and toxins being drawn to the surface of my skin. My face always feels refreshed and glow-y when I rock this bad boy.
A bit bout Rhassoul clay: It’s only found at the foot of the Atlas Mountains in Morocco, dug out by hand and simply washed and dried in the sun. It has superior mineral content to other clays, including magnesium and iron. It has incredible absorbing properties and does an excellent job at drawing toxins from the skin.
